The Summer Opera Scenes program is a 10-day intensive training program that culminates in two performances at the Trackside Theater in Luray, Virginia. In addition to the staging of the opera scenes and art song, instruction is provided in voice, acting technique, and movement.

The 2012 program will run from August 8 to August 17 with two performances at Trackside Theater on August 17 & 18 at 7:00 PM.

Tuition for the program is $500.00. While we cannot offer financial assistance this year, we can work with you on a payment plan if necessary.

Housing is provided but participants will be responsible for their own meals and transportation to Luray.

Deadline for the submission of application materials is June 15, 2012. You will need to complete the application form and provide us with a recording or video of you singing one song that shows your range and vocal quality. Application Form and Deadline Summary

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by June 24, 2012. Once accepted, a non-refundable deposit of $150.00 is required and must be received by Luray Opera no later than July 6, 2012, to hold your place in the program. The remainder of tuition is due no later than August 1, 2012 (unless other arrangements are made with David).

The repertoire list will be sent out no later than July 8, 2012, along with any additional paperwork. Participants are responsible for learning their music prior to arrival for the scenes program and should arrive memorized.
